Our Doctrine
The Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. In keeping with this premise, Church on the Hill affirms the First London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1644 as our confession of the Scriptures. Church on the Hill is an independent, conservative, and evangelical body of believers. We, the members of this church, associate ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ the crucified, buried, risen, and ascended Son of God of the Trinity of God the Father, God the Son - Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.
Church on the Hill accepts the Holy Bible as the ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice. All other church documents and practices must be in keeping with it. We believe in the so-called 5 Solas of the Reformation, that is Sola Scriptura (sole authority of the Scriptures), Sola Gratia (by grace alone we are saved), Sola Fida (through faith alone), Solus Christus (by Christ alone), Soli Deo Gloria (for the glory of God alone).
By adhering to these pillars of doctrine, we declare we are confessional, meaning we stand on these statements as our confession of faith.

Our History
Church on the Hill was founded in 2013 and entered fellowship with the Southern Baptist Convention at that time. However, a church was established on this site over 70 years ago and although the name and associations have changed a few times, the local congregation has always maintained faithful attendance and support of the local Baptist church in this community. What began as a brush arbor and an outhouse on the corner of Daugherty Hill Road and Hwy 286 has now become a beautiful building with a rich heritage and a congregation that loves the Lord Jehovah, the community, and each other.
